Consitution of the SCP

Since our party doesn't actually have a consitution which we can rely on when we start elections, I've decided to give you a proposal to a new consitution. Please read it and leave your comment on it.

(This is not a poll and we will not introduce this consitution without the approval of the members)

I agree for what that you write, but i want to discuss about one point:

"The party posts are the party president, commissar of trade and labour, commissar of foreign affairs and commissar of defence"

I think that we have to create a real socialist state, a nation where the power is in the hand of the people... If we follow what that you wrote the power will be in the hand of 4 persons...
I think that could be replace the commissar by the commission... The commission of trade and labour, the commission of foreing affairs and the commission of defence... Each commission is composed by 3 or 4 person an they divided by themselves the work.. we tried it in italy e was a good thinks... The goal of the commission is: - avoid that 1 person take in his hand too power - allow to much people to enjoi in this game

Some other things that i want to propose yuo for the costitution are:

- Each commission will have a public area on the forum where the members of the commission will discuss with the other people about what they want to do

- The candidate to be President of the party and the candidate to be President of the nation have to swear to respect a manifesto where are written the ideals of the party... if he'll not respect them the majority of the party coul replace him

Of course we'll have commissions, but it's best always having somebody in charge of them. otherwise, people might get all "oh? I thought he was gonna do that? I was never told! That's not my responsability". and then the commissars will naturally elect people to work in their commissions.

Good botherMe... I agree with you... But I think that cuold be better make ufficial in the costituction that we have the commission that are leaded by a commissar..

Made a few changes to the consitution. Added two paragraphs and changed two.

§5. The party will hold elections for all posts within the party on the 25th of every month. If one of the comissars should step down, the party president can appoint another member until the next election is held.

§8. The commissars decide for themselves how big their commission should be and which advisors they want. They need to listen to the advice of the party president.

§9. One person may only hold one office.

§10. If the politburo is not working properly, the party president may dissolve it, but only the whole politburo. He or she may not remove one particular commissar from office. An election needs to be held if the politburo is dissolved.

I have an idea. Change clauses involving the Constitution with only half the votes (plus one), it is very dangerous.

The Constitution is very important, but it is also dangerous. Any change in the Constitution should be changed only with 2 / 3 of the votes (plus one).

Danie! moreno, you have a very valid point there. two thirds would actually be a good rule here.

§14. Any changes to the consitutions require an election and a majority of two thirds of the votes.


Since there's no consitution in place at the moment, I guess the party president has the authority to put this up to a proposal period and a poll.
